2019 SEforALL CHARRETTES REPORT

• The Last Mile Charrette addressed the difficulty of electrifying remote or socially excluded communities. • The report notes significant disparities in electricity finance, stating that in 2015-16, four countries—India, Bangladesh, Kenya, and the Philippines—received 86 percent of all tracked financial commitments for the 20 high-impact countries. Additionally, investments in unsustainable, grid-connected fossil fuel-fired generation doubled since the 2013-14 reporting period, with coal-fired power plant finance tripling.
