Cooling for All

This report quantifies the global cooling access challenge, finding that 1.1 billion people in 52 vulnerable countries face risks, including 470 million in rural areas and 630 million in urban slums.

• The cooling access risk population includes 470 million people in poor rural areas who lack electricity and cold chains for medicines and food, and 630 million slum dwellers in hotter-climate urban areas where electricity is too expensive, intermittent, or nonexistent.
