African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Sensitisation Project in Namibia (ASPIN) Civil Society Working Group Meeting

• The working group presented draft submissions on 11 specific topics: Land Reform, Corruption, Education, Health, Gender Based Violence, Inequality and Poverty, Youth Unemployment, Environmental Sustainability, Access to Information, Separation of Powers, and Lack of Policy Coherence. Additional submissions are anticipated regarding corporate citizenship and natural resource governance.
• A validation workshop for the final draft submission is scheduled for 23 or 24 October 2018 in Windhoek, following the circulation of the draft to Namibian civil society. Future plans for 2019 include using the media to expand the submission's reach and potentially publishing the submission in a shorter comic format.
