Terms of Reference (ToR)

The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) has issued a Request for Proposals for simultaneous interpretation services in French and English for the 2025 Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF). The event is scheduled for 8-10 April 2025 in Kampala, Uganda, and expects approximately 1,500 participants.

• The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) is seeking an independent vendor to provide simultaneous interpretation services in French and English for the Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF), which will take place from 8-10 April 2025 at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda.
• The EAIF 2025 aims to attract a total of more than 1,500 participants, consisting of 500 people attending in-person and over 1,000 people attending virtually.
• The required deliverables for the interpretation services include two interpretation cabins, four interpreters for French to English and English to French translation, 200 headsets, and other interpretation equipment for the dates of 8-9 April, with a set-up day on 7 April.
• The procurement process requires vendors to submit a technical proposal and a detailed financial proposal by 7 February 2025. Evaluation will be based on four equally weighted criteria: price, delivery, technical specifications, and past performance.
