Terms of Reference (ToR)

The Alliance for Renewable Electrification (ARE) issued a Request for Proposals on 20 February 2024 to secure two 40-person workshop rooms in Lagos, Nigeria, for its Investment Academy held during the Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) from 21-23 May 2024. The event aims to connect renewable energy SMEs with international investors to support global decarbonisation and sustainable electricity access.

• The Alliance for Renewable Electrification (ARE) is seeking a service provider to book two workshop rooms in Lagos, Nigeria, for the ARE Investment Academy from 20-23 May 2024. Each room must have a "capacity of 40 people in boardroom style" and include a "Projector or screen for presentation".
• The ARE Investment Academy is a component of the 2024 ARE Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF), a global event taking place 21-23 May 2024 at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria. The EAIF aims to gather up to "1,500 in-person and virtual delegates", including government officials and investors, to foster partnerships for "sustainable electricity access, decarbonisation, economic growth and fighting against climate change".
• ARE's broader organizational goals under its UN Energy Compact include avoiding "at least 1 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions by 2030", creating "at least 5 million green jobs", and delivering sustainable electricity services to a minimum of "500 million additional people" across Latin America & the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Eligible vendors for the room bookings must be "duly registered and in compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the Federal Republic of Nigeria". Proposals will be evaluated based on four equally weighted criteria: price, delivery, technical specifications, and past performance.
