Cities Designed to Shape and Enable New Mobility

RMI introduces the concept of 'MOD Cities' (Mobility-Oriented Development), proposing the creation of living test sites where urban designers, municipal governments, and the vehicle-service industry collaborate to integrate new mobility services with urban design.

• RMI is developing the 'MOD Cities' concept, which stands for 'modular', 'modifiable', and 'mobility-oriented development'. These sites are intended as collaborative environments where local governments, developers, financiers, urban designers, and the vehicle-service industry co-innovate at the intersection of vehicles, mobility services, and urban design to prioritize people and community integration.
