Roadmap for Delivery Electrification

This report details the Deliver Electric Delhi pilot, a collaboration between the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC), RMI, and RMI India involving 35 industry players to support the Delhi government's EV policy for final-mile delivery vehicles.

• The Deliver Electric Delhi pilot was established to support the Delhi government's EV policy by charting a path toward the full electrification of final-mile delivery vehicles, which are significant contributors to air pollution in Delhi, specifically regarding nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM).
• The pilot utilized stakeholder consultations, interviews, and surveys to identify barriers to the Delhi EV policy's implementation, focusing on the roles of finance, charging infrastructure, and policy in enabling electrification for public and private sector players.
• Achieving 100 percent sales penetration of electric final-mile delivery vehicles by 2030 could result in 750,000 vehicles on the road, preventing the emission of 14.2 million tons of CO2, 46,900 tons of NOx, and 530 tons of PM over the lifetime of those vehicles.
