Letter to the French Government Shareholding Agency to ask ENGIE to stop gas expansion

Reclaim Finance and other climate organizations are urging the French Government Shareholding Agency, as ENGIE's main shareholder, to demand a commitment from the company to end gas expansion prior to a 'Say on Climate' vote on April 24th.

• Reclaim Finance, Friends of the Earth France, Climate Action Network France (representing 27 organizations), and Beyond Fossil Fuels have petitioned the French Government Shareholding Agency, the primary shareholder of ENGIE, to intervene in the company's climate strategy.
• The organizations demand that the Government Shareholding Agency secure a commitment from ENGIE to cease gas expansion to ensure alignment with French climate goals, ahead of a shareholders' "Say on Climate" vote scheduled for April 24th.
