FAQ - IPIE Affiliation

The IPIE seeks academic researchers globally to provide scientific assessments of the global information environment. Affiliates may serve as reviewers, panel members, or advisors on science diplomacy and research trajectories. The affiliation lasts for two years, requires an integrity statement and conflict of interest declaration, and may offer stipends for high-level contributions to Scientific Panels.

• The IPIE's mission is to deliver regular scientific assessments of the global information environment to policymakers, industry, and civil society to improve that environment.
• Affiliates may be asked to provide advice on research trajectories, science diplomacy strategy, or serve as reviewers and members of Scientific Panels.
• High-level contributors, such as Chairs, Vice Chairs, or Co-Chairs of larger Scientific Panels, and those invited to specific Panels, may receive stipends for their work.
• The registration process requires applicants to provide an integrity statement, declare conflicts of interest, give consent for information use, and submit a professional biography and headshot.
• Affiliation is open to researchers worldwide and lasts for a two-year period from the date of joining.
