Dear Friends,

This document is an introductory announcement and table of contents for the Great Transition Initiative (GTI) paper series, a collective project by scholars and activists aimed at imagining a global future characterized by human solidarity, enriched lives, and a healthy planet.

• The Great Transition Initiative (GTI) is a collaborative effort involving a network of 200 participants from 40 countries. The resulting paper series is designed to explore global challenges, future visions, and strategic directions to inspire change, rather than providing definitive blueprints for the future.
• The GTI paper series is organized into three thematic sections: 'The Global Moment and its Possibilities', 'Institutional Transitions', and 'Human and Environmental Dimensions', with a final section on 'Crystallizing a Systems Shift'. Topics covered include global politics, regional economies, corporate redesign, international trade, security, technology, well-being, feminist praxis, sustainable communities, climate change, and ecosystem resilience.
