Compilation of WTO Notifications on Fisheries Subsidies

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) has produced a compilation of World Trade Organization (WTO) member notifications specifically regarding subsidies for marine wild capture fisheries to increase transparency and support the negotiation of new WTO rules.

• The IISD created a centralized document gathering all notified information on subsidies to marine wild capture fishing from WTO members to assist negotiators, public officials, and stakeholders in the process of establishing new WTO rules.
• The compilation includes only the most recent subsidy notification for each WTO member and excludes subsidy programs specifically targeted at inland fishing and aquaculture.
