Compilation of WTO Notifications on Fisheries Subsidies

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) has compiled the most recent subsidy notifications from WTO members specifically regarding marine wild capture fisheries. The tool is designed to support the negotiation of new WTO rules by providing a centralized resource, intentionally excluding subsidies for aquaculture and inland fishing.

• The compilation aggregates information on subsidies to marine wild capture fisheries from individual WTO member notifications to improve transparency for public officials, negotiators, and stakeholders.
• The document includes only the most recent subsidy notification for each WTO member and excludes programs explicitly targeting inland fishing and aquaculture to align with the focus of current WTO negotiations.
