Finance for National Adaptation Plan Processes

This report reviews 59 multi-sector national adaptation plan (NAP) documents to analyze how developing countries address adaptation finance, identifying good practices and areas for improvement in the identification, prioritization, and mobilization of funds.

• The report analyzes 59 multi-sector national adaptation plan (NAP) documents to understand how developing countries manage adaptation finance issues and to identify ways to improve the identification, prioritization, and mobilization of such finance.
• Effective and inclusive NAP processes require sufficient financing from various sources, specifically through mechanisms that avoid increasing current debt burdens for developing countries.
