Reglamento del Comité Asesor Científico (SAC) del instituto Interamericano para la Investigación del Cambio Global

The regulations define the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) as a ten-member body elected by the Conference of the Parties. • The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) consists of ten members and up to three alternates, elected by the Conference of the Parties. The membership is composed of six members from candidates proposed by the Parties, three from the SAC itself, and one from the Institute's Associates.
• The SAC is tasked with several core functions, including formulating recommendations for the Institute's Scientific Agenda, long-term plans, and annual programs, as well as managing the peer review system and evaluating scientific outcomes.
• The committee must meet at least once a year and holds joint meetings with the Science and Policy Advisory Committee once a month, unless otherwise determined.
• Nomination processes for the SAC must consider gender balance, geographic balance, and the participation of underrepresented groups, in accordance with the IAI's Gender Policy in scientific projects and activities.
