Informe de la Comisión Ad Hoc para la Implementación del Gobierno Tripartito del IAI

The report details the extension of the Ad Hoc Commission for the Implementation of the IAI Tripartite Governance and provides updates on the operational status of the IAI offices in Montevideo and Buenos Aires, as well as ongoing discussions regarding scientific development leadership in Brazil.

• The 24th Conference of the Parties (CoP) in Santiago extended the term of the Commission for the Implementation of the IAI Tripartite Structure until the next CoP, maintaining its current membership and terms of reference.
• The IAI office in Montevideo is operational, with the government of Uruguay having hired two assistants. In Buenos Aires, a director was hired for the Science-Policy Liaison Office in May 2015, and despite delays in some host country agreement commitments due to a change in government, the office is becoming impactful in the region.
• The IAI is currently working with the representative of Brazil to find a solution for the Directorate of Scientific Development in Brazil, which is described as a critical function for the institute.
