VIGÉSIMA CONFERENCIA DE LAS PARTES DEL IAI (CoP)

The twentieth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held from June 27-29, 2012, in Arlington, VA, USA, resulted in the adoption of several administrative and operational resolutions.

• The CoP approved the Operating Budget, the level of Country Contributions, and the Annual Plan for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
• The CoP elected members for the Executive Council (CE) for the following two years, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, United States, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, with Brazil and the US serving as observers.
• The CoP approved the Terms of Reference for the Commission for the implementation of the Tripartite Headquarters of the IAI Directorate. The commission consists of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, USA, and Uruguay, with the USA as president and Ecuador as vice president.
