DECIMOSÉPTIMA REUNIÓN DE LA CONFERENCIA DE LAS PARTES DEL IAI (CoP)

The seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held on June 9-10, 2010, in Brasilia, Brazil, resulted in the adoption of five resolutions concerning financial planning, governance, and personnel.

• The CoP approved three primary administrative and financial documents for the 2010-2011 fiscal year: the Operating Budget, the level of Country Contributions, and the Annual Plan.
• The CoP appointed Carolina Vera, Claudia Natenzon, Ramon Pichs, Silvio Pantoja, and Harold Mooney to the Scientific Advisory Committee, with Canada and Paraguay serving as scrutineers for the meeting.
• The CoP elected members to the Executive Council (CE) for a two-year term, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, and the USA, with Canada and Paraguay acting as scrutineers.
