DECIMATERCERA REUNION DE LA CONFERENCIA DE LAS PARTES (CoP)

This document records six resolutions adopted by the Conference of the Parties (CoP) during its thirteenth meeting held on May 23 and 24, 2006, in Isla Margarita, Venezuela.

• The CoP approved a request from Brazil to change its IAI Affiliated Institution from CPTEC to INPE.
• The CoP modified the IAI Procedures for Project Suspension and Cancellation (IAI/ID.22.E/2003), Article 1.2.1, to state that PIs, Co-PIs, grantees, or subgrantees may be deemed ineligible for future IAI funding until grant agreements are satisfied and causes for suspension are removed.
• Juan Valdes was unanimously elected to fill the tenth vacancy of the SAC.
• The CoP elected the members of the CE for the following two years, consisting of Argentina, Brasil, Canadá, Costa Rica, Cuba, Estados Unidos, México, Panamá, and Venezuela.
• The CoP approved both the Core Budget Request and the level of Country Contributions for the 2006-2007 Fiscal Year.
