A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research regarding nominations and upcoming elections for its Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).

• The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research is filling four vacancies on its Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC). Nominations include Dr. Anahí Urquiza and Dr. Omar Lopéz (nominated by the Parties for a second term), Dr. Mercy Borbor (nominated by the SAC for a second term), and three nominations from Associates (Future Earth, FAPESP, and the Instituto Alexander Von Humboldt) for one available vacancy.
• Elections for the Scientific Advisory Committee will take place via videoconference during the 32nd Conference of the Parties (CoP-32) on May 22 and 23, 2024.
• According to the Agreement for the Creation of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research, the Scientific Advisory Committee consists of members elected by the Conference of the Parties: six from candidates presented by the Parties, three from candidates presented by the SAC itself, and one from candidates presented by the Institute's Associates.
