A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) announcing the approval of Panama as the new host for the IAI Executive Directorate and the availability of the draft report from the 2024 Extraordinary Meeting of the Conference of the Parties.

• The Conference of the Parties has approved a proposal for Panama to host the headquarters of the IAI Executive Directorate. The IAI Executive Directorate expects this transition to support its mission, citing Panama's connectivity in the Americas and its leadership in regional and international science-policy.
• The draft report of the 2024 Extraordinary Meeting of the Conference of the Parties is available for review and comment on the IAI website. The report consists of Section I, which summarizes procedures, and Section II, which contains Decision 2024/Extra-CoP/1.
• National representatives are requested to provide comments on the meeting report by May 2, 2024, in accordance with Article 95 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the Parties.
• The IAI Executive Directorate acknowledged Uruguay for hosting its headquarters for the previous 10 years, noting that Uruguay provided resources essential for operations and collaborations within the Americas and the Southern Cone region.
