Parties nominations for the SAC

A briefing from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) requesting the Conference of the Parties (CoP) to nominate two new members for the Science Advisory Committee (SAC) by 19 April 2024.

• The IAI is seeking nominations for two vacancies on the Science Advisory Committee (SAC) to be elected at the Conference of the Parties on 22-23 May 2024, following the expiration of the first terms of Anahi Urquiza and Omar R. Lopez in June 2024.
• The SAC specifically requires one scientist specializing in Terrestrial Ecosystems for the Natural Sciences and one scientist with expertise in Economics and/or Development Studies for the Social Sciences.
• The SAC aims to address current underrepresentation of Central America and the Caribbean in its composition, while adhering to the IAI's policy on Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
