N O T I F I C A T I O N

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is providing financial support for members of the Executive Council, the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), and the Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC), as well as one representative from low and middle income Parties, to attend meetings in Panama City. EC-55 will be held on 20 June 2023, and CoP-31 will be held from 21 to 22 June 2023. The meetings are hosted by the Government of Panama through Senacyt.

• The IAI Directorate is providing financial support for members of the Executive Council to attend EC-55 and for one national representative from low and middle income Parties to attend CoP-31. This funding is external to the IAI core budget and external programmatic budgets. Support covers travel, meals, accommodation, and a daily subsistence allowance.
• Financial support is also available for members of the Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC) and the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).
• The 55th meeting of the Executive Council (EC-55) is scheduled for 20 June 2023 in Panama City, Panama. The 31st meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-31) will take place in Panama City, Panama from 21 to 22 June 2023.
• Deadlines for administrative requirements include 30 April 2023 for national representatives needing financial support for CoP-31 to contact Ms Patricia Puertas, and 20 May 2023 for the submission of all credentials to Ms. Soledad Noya.
• The Government of Panama, via the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Panama (Senacyt), is hosting the EC-55 and CoP-31 meetings.
