A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) inviting Parties to join the Selection Committee for a new executive director, as the current director's second term ends on May 31, 2023.

• The current executive director of the IAI will complete their second term on May 31, 2023, and cannot be renewed according to Article VIII, paragraph 4 of the Agreement for the Creation of the IAI.
• The IAI is forming a Selection Committee to recruit a new executive director. Interested Parties must contact Soledad Noya by September 9, 2022, to express their desire to join. The Scientific Advisory Committee and the Science and Policy Advisory Committee will also appoint representatives to this committee.
• The Selection Committee will review application materials from candidates nominated by IAI Focal Points, interview a small group of potential candidates, and provide recommendations to the Parties. These recommendations will be considered during an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties, tentatively scheduled for February 2023.
