This notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) announces the election results for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC) following the 30th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-30) held on June 14-15, 2022.

• The 30th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-30), held June 14-15, 2022, in Montevideo and via videoconference, elected four members to the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) for the 2022-2025 term: Dr. Barry Warner (expert in ecosystem services, water improvement, and landscape rehabilitation), Dra. Jenifer Silva (expert in plant biotechnology), Dra. Alexandra Mallett as an alternate member (expert in sustainable energy, environment, and natural resource public policy), and Dra. Michelle Scobie (expert in environmental governance, international law, tourism, climate, and biodiversity).
• The CoP-30 meeting elected five members to the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC) for the 2022-2025 term: Dra. Margot Hurlbert (expert in climate change, water, food, energy, and marginalized communities), Dra. Nathalie Flores as an alternate member (expert in international climate change public policies and international development), Dra. Carol Franco (expert in food security, ecosystem services, economic development, and climate change), Dra. Maria Amparo Martinez Arroyo (expert in marine biology, climate change, and interdisciplinarity), and Dr. Jorge Rucks as an alternate member (expert in public policy, territorial planning, sustainable development technical cooperation, and water basins).
