A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research announcing a change in the membership of its Science Advisory Committee (SAC).

• Dr. Patricia Balvanera from Mexico resigned from her position as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) on 11 May 2021, having been nominated to the role in 2020.
• Dr. Mercy Borbor from Ecuador, who was nominated as an alternate member of the SAC in 2020, has been appointed to fill the vacant seat on the committee until 2023. Dr. Borbor is an expert in urban ecology, risk management, health, climate, and coastal marine resources, and is a member of the IAI's steering committee on climate, environment and health.
