N O T I F I C A T I O N

A notification from the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) requesting expressions of interest to join a working group tasked with drafting a new IAI Strategic Plan, following Decision XXVI/11 adopted at the 26th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-26).

• The Conference of the Parties (CoP-26) adopted Decision XXVI/11, which mandates the IAI Directorate to draft a new IAI Strategic Plan in collaboration with the Science Advisory Committee, the Science-Policy Advisory Committee, and interested Parties for review at the twenty-seventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties.
• A timeline for the development of the IAI Strategic Plan was established, requiring an outline to be available for review three months after the closure of CoP-26, and a first draft to be available five months after that date, with Parties granted one month for review in both instances.
• A working group open to Parties, the Scientific Advisory Committee, and the Science-Policy Advisory Committee was established to assist the IAI Directorate in drafting the plan. Interested participants were requested to notify the Directorate by 24 August 2018.
