Aprobada Conferencia de las Partes (CoP) del IAI Vigésima reunión

• The CoP established its leadership for the twentieth session, electing Frances Colón from the USA as President, Carlos Nobre from Brazil as First Vice President, and Kathryn Lundy from Canada as Second Vice President.

• The CoP approved several financial and operational documents for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, including the Operating Budget, the level of Country Contributions, and the Annual Plan. It also accepted the Financial Statement for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.
• The CoP approved a Tripartite Headquarters Proposal for the IAI Directorate and created an Implementation Commission for this headquarters. The commission consists of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, USA, and Uruguay, with the USA as president and Ecuador as vice president.
• The CoP elected members of the Executive Committee (CE) for the next two years, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, with Brazil and the USA serving as observers.
• Uruguay was accepted as the host for the Executive Committee and CoP meetings in 2013.
