INFORMACIÓN LOGÍSTICA 33.ª Conferencia de la Partes del Instituto Interamericano para la Investigación del Cambio Global (IAI) y reuniones consecutivas

This logistical briefing provides travel, accommodation, and entry requirements for the 33rd Conference of the Parties (CoP-33) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), to be held in Asunción, Paraguay, in May 2025.

• The 33rd Conference of the Parties (CoP-33) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) is scheduled for May 29 and 30, 2025, in Asunción, Paraguay. Related events, including the Executive Council meeting (CE-59) and a parallel event, will take place from May 28 to 30, 2025, at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in the Cristal I and II rooms.
• The Government of Paraguay and the IAI Executive Directorate will cover accommodation costs at the Hotel Crowne Plaza for Party delegates, chairs of the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Science and Policy Advisory Committee, and IAI Executive Directorate staff. All meeting participants will be provided meals within the hotel.
• Entry requirements for non-residents include a valid passport or a valid identity document for citizens of MERCOSUR and Associated States (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador). While most American and Western European countries do not require tourist visas for stays up to 90 days, Cuba and Jamaica are identified as IAI Parties that do require visas.
• Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travelers coming from specific risk zones in Bolivia (La Paz and Tarija), Brazil (São Paulo, Pará, Minas Gerais, and Tocantins), Colombia (Tolima, Putumayo, Caquetá, Meta, and Caldas), and Peru (Huánuco, San Martín, Amazonas, Loreto, and Junín).
