Beneficios y oportunidades IAI

A fact sheet detailing the benefits and opportunities available to Venezuela as a member country of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) for 2025-2026.

• Venezuela has access to several professional development and educational resources through the IAI, including a virtual campus offering self-managed certified courses such as "Diplomacia Científica y Cambio Ambiental Global en las Américas" and "Avances en Investigación Transdisciplinaria sobre el Cambio Ambiental Global en América Latina y el Caribe".
• The IAI provides institutional and governance opportunities for Venezuela, including the ability to nominate members to the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC), and the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Committee (IPAC) annually before the COP meeting, as well as nominating institutions to become IAI Associates.
• Additional benefits for Venezuela include access to research funding calls from the Belmont Forum with IAI participation, the Science, Technology and Policy (STeP) Fellowship program for early and mid-career public officials, and the ability to organize virtual or in-person events during national and multilateral meetings.
