FINANCIAMIENTO Beneficios y oportunidades

This fact sheet outlines the funding, project participation, and institutional benefits available to Chile as a member of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) for the 2025-2026 period.

• The IAI has provided funding for specific research initiatives in Chile, including US$ 90,000 for projects under the "Clima, ambiente y salud para las Américas" seed funds and US$ 299,600 for a Belmont Forum Collaborative Research Action focusing on integrated approaches to human migration and mobility during rapid global change.
• Chilean representation within IAI committees includes Laura Ramajo Gallardo on the Committee on Oceans, Islands and Coastal Zones; Anahí Urquiza and Laura Ramajo (as an alternate member) on the Scientific Advisory Committee; and Bárbara Tapia on the Committee on Climate, Environment and Health.
