Revisión de las decisiones relacionadas con el Presupuesto Operativo adoptadas en el 32ª reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes

This briefing document, prepared by the Executive Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), informs the Executive Council about operational budget decisions made during the 32nd meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-32).

• The Conference of the Parties approved the operational budget for 2024-2025, which includes a 20% increase in voluntary contributions. Additionally, a preliminary request for the 2025-2027 period was made, proposing annual increases of 5%, subject to approval by the competent authorities of each country.
• The increase in voluntary contributions is intended to address the growing operational responsibilities of the IAI Executive Directorate in meeting the increasing needs and demands of the Parties. Timely submission of these contributions is described as essential for the Executive Directorate to fulfill its operational duties.
