This document is a provisional agenda for the fifty-fourth meeting of the Executive Council of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), scheduled for 15 November 2022 in Montevideo and via videoconference.

• The 54th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council (EC-54) is scheduled for 15 November 2022 from 11:00 to 14:00 UYT, with a provisional agenda covering ten items including the approval of the agenda, a review of decisions from the 30th meeting of the Conference of the Parties, and an overview of the Core Budget and Country Contributions for FY 2022-2023.
• The agenda includes a summary report of activities by the IAI Directorate focusing on science (including progress on the Regional Assessment), capacity building (specifically the steering committee on science diplomacy), and data, information and public awareness.
• Additional agenda items for the meeting include feedback from Parties regarding the organization of CoP-30 and an update on the recruitment process for a new IAI Executive Director.
