Minutas de la 42a Reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo del IAI (CE)

The minutes of the 42nd Meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held on June 17, 2016, in Santiago, Chile, detail administrative decisions, the selection process for a new Executive Director, and communication strategies for the IAI's 25th anniversary.

• The EC will work with the Rules and Procedures Committee to amend the IAI's Founding Agreement to extend the Executive Director's term of office to four years, renewable once.
• A specific commission composed of Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay, with collaboration from Panama, was tasked with creating a case-by-case action plan to encourage non-active member countries to renew their participation in the IAI.
• The EC requested that the Executive Directorate provide a more detailed Operating Budget and a revised Work Plan within four weeks of the CoP, ensuring that financial implications of EC and CoP decisions are incorporated.
