• The IAI's operational budget reserves are critically low, covering less than two months of operations. While total cash increased by 19.8% between March 2009 and March 2010 due to IDRC and MacArthur funds, the specific operational budget funds decreased by 40.2% over the same period.
• Administrative risks exist regarding the Host Country Agreement with Brazil and the employment of four IAI staff members contracted through INPE. The IAI cannot currently afford salary differences for these employees, and there is a risk that this situation could hinder the fulfillment of the Host Country Agreement.
