The Finance and Administration Committee (FAC) of the IAI reports an unqualified audit opinion for the 2023-2024 fiscal year and recommends the approval of a 2025-2026 operating budget of approximately USD 1.68 million. To sustain operations, the FAC proposes a 20% increase in member contributions for 2025-2026, followed by 5% annual increases through 2028.

• The Finance and Administration Committee (FAC) is responsible for overseeing the IAI's financial and administrative matters, including approving staff salaries and benefits, reviewing cost-of-living and merit increase policies, recommending changes to member country contributions, and examining the basic budget before it is presented to the Executive Council (CE) and the Conference of the Parties (CoP).
• The auditors' report for the 2023-2024 fiscal year provided an unqualified opinion, stating that the IAI's financial statements fairly presented its financial position in all material respects.
• The FAC recommends that the Executive Council submit the IAI's operating budget for 2025-2026 to the Conference of the Parties for approval. The proposed budget includes expenses of approximately USD 1,680,000.
• To support daily operations and research activities, the IAI proposes increasing member country contributions by 20% for the 2025-2026 fiscal year compared to the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Subsequent increases of 5% are proposed for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 fiscal years.
