Conversaciones con Panamá para establecer una oficina regional

The IAI Executive Directorate is engaging in informal conversations with Panama's National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) to establish a regional office. This initiative aims to increase the visibility of scientific projects and capacity-building activities, while encouraging non-member states in Central America and the Caribbean to join the IAI.

• The IAI Executive Directorate has invited Panama to discuss the creation of a regional office to enhance the visibility of scientific projects and capacity-building activities, and to encourage non-member states to join the Agreement.
• The need for increased IAI presence in Central America and the Caribbean was highlighted by Panama's offer to host the 31st meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-31) and the 2023 Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress (SRI2023).
