Indicadores y métricas del Plan Estratégico del IAI

The IAI has developed a comprehensive set of 24 KPIs and 38 metrics to evaluate its progress in advancing transdisciplinary science, capacity building, and organizational sustainability in the Americas. These metrics cover areas such as fundraising, open data management, and the integration of underrepresented groups in research.

• The IAI's Strategic Plan for 2019-2044 aims to align activities with its establishing Agreement, direct transdisciplinary science toward sustainability challenges in the Americas, and ensure organizational sustainability.
• The proposed KPIs for research calls emphasize inclusivity and regional relevance, targeting a minimum of 20% representation of underrepresented groups in peer-reviewed projects focused on interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary science.
• Financial sustainability goals include an annual 2% growth of the IAI endowment fund, with a target that 10% of the endowment comes from non-public donors and foundations.
• By 2044, the IAI intends to demonstrate measurable research impact in the region across several critical areas, including energy security, climate action, food and water security, and biodiversity.
• The framework distinguishes between prospective metrics, which measure actions leading to results (e.g., website visitors), and retrospective metrics, which measure actual products or outcomes (e.g., number of fellows won).
