Report of the Financial and Administrative Committee

This report from the Financial and Administrative Committee (FAC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) recommends the approval of the 2019-2020 Core Budget and notes a clean audit for the 2017-18 fiscal year.

• The Financial and Administrative Committee (FAC) reviewed the IAI's core budget request for the upcoming fiscal year and recommends that the Executive Council forward it to the Council of the Parties for approval. • The audit report for the 2017-18 fiscal year resulted in an unqualified opinion, indicating that the IAI's financial statements fairly represented its financial position in all material respects.
• The FAC is a committee of the Executive Council responsible for overseeing IAI financial and administrative matters, including the review of staff salaries, benefits, cost of living and merit increase policies, and the draft Core Budget. Membership is open to all member countries for two-year terms, and the IAI Financial Officer serves as an ex-officio member.
