Elecciones del Comité Asesor en Ciencia-Políticas

• The election of members for the Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC) was rescheduled for the 27th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP-27) following Decision XXVI/10 adopted at CoP-26 in Antigua in 2018.
• Nominations and elections for the SPAC cannot proceed until the Conference of the Parties approves the regulations for the election of the committee, which may be adopted during CoP-27.
• The current SPAC members include Dra. Brigitte Baptiste, Dr. Walter Baethgen, Dr. Gilberto Cámara, Dr. Javier Gracia-Garza, Dra. Maria Netto, Dra. Evelia Rivera-Arriaga, and Dr. James Rusak. The terms for Dr. Javier Gracia-Garza and Dr. James Rusak ended in June 2018, with Dr. Rusak intending to resign at the end of his term.
• The IAI Executive Directorate suggests that the Conference of the Parties consider inviting current SPAC members, including those whose terms have expired, to continue their participation until elections are held. A provisional decision also suggests rescheduling the SPAC election to the 28th meeting.
