Decisión XXVI/43: Mejora del sitio web

The IAI Executive Directorate has implemented a new, more secure, and mobile-friendly website with database capabilities to replace an outdated HTML and Wordpress-based system. While a new interface was presented before the 27th Conference of the Parties, further technical improvements depend on the acquisition of external resources.

• The IAI Executive Directorate identified several urgent needs for website improvement, noting that the site consisted of simple HTML pages requiring individual updates, lacked coherent integration of information (such as data regarding Parties), featured a non-intuitive user interface, and relied on Wordpress, which was deemed insufficiently flexible and potentially insecure due to its dependence on plugins.
• Despite a lack of external resources, the Executive Directorate developed a new web system and interface prior to the 27th Conference of the Parties. This new website utilizes a more secure content management system, is more accessible via smartphones and portable devices, and allows for information organization through databases.
• The technical improvement of the website is an ongoing process that will continue until external resources become available.
