Informe de la Dirección Ejecutiva

The IAI Executive Directorate reports the successful merger of the Science-Policy Interface Directorate operations from Buenos Aires, Argentina, into the Finance and Integrated Operations Directorate as of July 2018. This action follows Decision XXVI/19 from the 26th Conference of the Parties (CoP-26), which also led to the cancellation of the proposed Tripartite Headquarters for the IAI Directorate and the determination that a separate Scientific Development Directorate was unnecessary.

• In July 2018, the IAI Executive Directorate merged the operations of the Science-Policy Interface Directorate, previously based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the Finance and Integrated Operations Directorate.
• Following decisions made at CoP-26, the IAI determined that establishing a Scientific Development Directorate was no longer necessary, and the proposal for a Tripartite Headquarters for the IAI Directorate (Decision XX/10) was withdrawn.
• The integration of the Science-Policy Interface Directorate operations was completed without interrupting services or advice provided to the Parties, with responsibilities assumed by the Science-Policy Program Officer.
