Auditors Report

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) submitted an independent auditors' report for the period ending June 30, 2017. • Total revenues, gains, and contributions for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, were 3,047,200 USD, a decrease from 3,308,649 USD in 2016. Unrestricted revenues included 1,757,646 USD in contributions from member nations.
• The IAI experienced a change in net assets for the year of (206,731) USD for the period ending June 30, 2017, which was an improvement over the (623,847) USD decrease recorded in 2016.
• The IAI manages several scientific programs funded primarily by the National Science Foundation (NSF), including the Collaborative Research Network Program III (CRN III), which had a total approved budget of 10,500,000 USD for the period from March 1, 2012, to February 28, 2017.
• The IAI receives in-kind support from host governments; the Brazilian Government provided 52,864 USD in premises, equipment, and security in 2017, while the Uruguayan Government provided 132,270 USD in support staff, office, and cleaning services in 2017.
