Nominación de candidatos al SAC por las Partes

A briefing from the President of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) requesting the nomination of two members to the SAC for the 26th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP) in June 2018.

• Two vacancies on the SAC will open in June 2018 following the end of the first term for Dr. Alicia Fernández and Dr. Edwin Castellanos. These individuals may be re-elected if nominated by a Party, or the Parties may propose new highly qualified candidates.
• Nominations for the SAC vacancies must be submitted to the CoP via the IAI Executive Directorate by May 20, 2018, and must include a brief curriculum vitae.
• The SAC requires members to possess international recognition for their science in the Americas and seeks to achieve geographic, gender, and ethnic balance. Candidates should be multidisciplinary, hold a doctorate or equivalent experience, and have a strong record of research and publications.
• For the 2018 nominations, the SAC specifically recommends candidates with expertise in ecosystem services, oceanography, and general social sciences.
