Decisiones y acciones de la CoP-XXV

This document records the decisions and actions taken during the 25th Conference of the Parties (CoP-XXV) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held in Bogotá, Colombia, on June 13-14, 2017.

• The CoP-XXV established a new leadership board consisting of Omar Franco from Colombia as president, Jean Ometto from Brazil as first vice-president, and Martín Lorieto Giucci from Uruguay as second vice-president.
• The Conference approved the Operating Budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year and maintained the existing level of country contributions for that period.
• The Executive Directorate was tasked with developing several strategic documents to be presented at the next CoP, including a policy and principles for open data, a long-term communication strategy and plan, and a long-term financing strategy.
• The CoP approved the appointment of new members to the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Science and Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC). For the SAC, Drs. Carlos Joly, Teresa Cavazos, Michelle Grunauer, and Antonio Magalhaes were elected. For the SPAC, Dr. Walter Baethgen, Dra. Brigitte Baptiste, and Dra. Evelia Rivera were elected, with Dra. Maria Netto Schneider later elected to fill a vacancy.
• The IAI's Tripartite Structure Implementation Commission was renewed for one year, with a composition including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the United States, and Uruguay.
