Report from Ad hoc Committee on the Implementation of the IAI Tripartite Governance

The IAI is implementing its tripartite governance structure, with an operational office in Montevideo supported by the Uruguayan government and a newly hired director for the Science-Policy liaison office in Buenos Aires. In Brazil, staff are finalizing the closure of banking and taxation links and working with the government to refine a Host Country Agreement for the Science Development Office.

• The IAI's Montevideo office is now operational, with two assistants provided by the government of Uruguay who have integrated into the team.
• In Brazil, three staff members remain to complete the closure of banking and taxation links, support new Uruguayan staff for CoP23, and maintain the capacity building program. The IAI is negotiating a Host Country Agreement for the Science Development Office with the Brazilian government, involving the MCTI, INPE, and DCTEC - Itamaraty.
• As of May 2015, the IAI has appointed a director for the Science-Policy liaison office located in Buenos Aires.
