• The 22nd Conference of the Parties took place in Mexico City, Mexico, on August 13 and 14, 2014.
• National representatives attending the conference included officials from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and the USA.
• Mexican participation included representatives from the Instituto Nacional de Ecología y Cambio Climático (INECC), the Secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
• The conference included observers from international and regional organizations such as UNESCO, AAAS, CEPAL, CONACyT, FAPESP, CONICET, ICSU-ROLAC, and the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research.
• The Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) was represented by an Executive Director, a Director of Science Programs, a Director of Capacity Building, and a Director of Finance & Administration.
