Minutas de la Decimocuarta Reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes (CoP) del IAI

• The CoP unanimously approved the renewal of the Executive Director's contract for a second term of 6 years, citing an excellent performance evaluation and the need to maintain positive momentum. The CoP also decided to implement periodic performance evaluations during this period.
• The CoP approved six projects under the Small Grants Program-Human Dimensions (SGP-HD), funded by the NSF, to improve the human dimensions component of the Cooperative Research Networks II (CRN II). These projects cover topics such as health impacts of air pollution in Latin American cities, vulnerability in mountain regions, and the impact of conservation policies on tropical dry forests.
• A research needs survey conducted by the Ibero-American Network of Climate Change Offices (RIOCC) across 17 countries identified Energy, Biodiversity, and Hydrology as the top three areas of 'need' based on a combination of declared priorities and lack of knowledge regarding impacts and adaptation.
• The CoP approved the Annual Program and the Operating Budget for the 2007-2008 Fiscal Year, maintaining the budget at the same level as the previous two years. The approved program includes the implementation of the SGP-HD, the development of the IAI Strategic Plan, and the organization of the 2nd IAI-NCAR colloquium.
