Duodécima Reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo del IAI \(EC\)

This action list from the twelfth meeting of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) Executive Council, held in December 2000, details administrative approvals regarding external evaluations, personnel nominations, and future meeting locations.

• The Executive Council (EC) approved the Terms of Reference (ToR) for an External Evaluation of the IAI, developed by a working group consisting of Gordon McBean, Max Campos, Federico Garcia Brum, and Rubén Lara. Member countries were asked to submit comments to the IAI Directorate by the first week of February 2001.
• The United States delegation offered to consider an IAI proposal for a new research program valued at US$ 300,000 and encouraged other countries to contribute to the IAI programmatic budget to leverage further US funding and attract other financing agents.
• The Executive Council scheduled the thirteenth meeting for the week of July 16, 2001, in Panama City, Panama, and the fourteenth meeting for the second half of 2001 in Havana, Cuba.
