Informe de la 53ª reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo del IAI

The report details the proceedings of the 53rd meeting of the Executive Council (EC-53) of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), held on June 14, 2022, in Montevideo and via videoconference. • The current Executive Director's second term ends on May 31, 2023, with no possibility of renewal. Consequently, the Executive Council approved a recommendation for the Conference of the Parties to initiate the recruitment process for a new Executive Director during the 2022-2023 intersessional period.
• The IAI is implementing an initiative to establish partnerships in the Americas to improve national capacities for conducting climate assessments, which support the development of national adaptation and mitigation strategies. This initiative was scheduled for presentation at the AmeriGEO Week 2022 in Asunción, Paraguay, from August 14 to 19, 2022.
