Report of the Financial and Administrative Ad Hoc Committee Review of IAI 2017-2018 Core Budget Request

The Financial and Administrative Ad Hoc Committee (FAC) reviewed the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) core budget request for the 2017-2018 fiscal year, recommending its approval by the Council of the Parties.

• The auditors' report for the 2015-16 fiscal year provided an unqualified opinion, stating that the IAI's financial statement fairly presented the organization's financial position in all material respects.
• The FAC is a subcommittee of the Executive Council open to all member countries, but its membership has declined to the point that it currently consists of only one individual from the United States and the IAI Financial and Administrative Officer (ex officio).
