Decisions and actions

The document records the decisions and actions taken during the 39th Meeting of the IAI Executive Council (EC) held in Lima, Peru, on June 23, 2015. The EC approved financial reports and budget requests for 2015-2016, recommended candidates for the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC), and identified needs for improving the visibility of science project data and measuring scientific impact.

• The Executive Council (EC) approved the Core Budget request and unchanged Country Contributions for 2015-2016, as well as the Financial Report and Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, all of which are to be forwarded to the Conference of Parties (CoP) for approval.
• The EC recommended several candidates for the Science-Policy Advisory Committee (SPAC), including Javier Gracia Garza, Luis Basterra, Maria Netto, James Rusak, Walter Baethgen, Yolanda Kakabadse, Brigitte Baptiste, Carlos Henrique de Brito Cruz, and Nicolas Lucas, with Heather Conley and Robert Corell as alternates. For the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), Alicia Fernandez Cirelli and Edwin Castellanos were recommended.
• The EC identified a need to increase the visibility of IAI science projects by expanding the website to include project metadata, publications, and impacts on policymaking and capacity building. Additionally, the EC will request the CoP to address open access data centralization and develop methods to measure the impact of IAI science.
